Did you know that tomatoes are NOT originally from Italy? Our Indigenous ancestors cultivated the first tomatoes right here on Turtle Island. There is so much to learn from the land!
Our EarlyON mobile programming will provide parents/caregivers with children 0-6, and their older siblings opportunities to build a relationship with our food, land, plants and animals across the city of Toronto. In our gardening programs, families will:
- Grow a garden using Indigenous knowledge
- Learn traditional songs and ceremonies for growing
- Build relationships with plants
- Connect with the earth and with each other
