Ojibiikaan is an Indigenous-led nonprofit offering land, food and culture based programming in Toronto.

Miigwetch, Nia:wen, Marcee, Kinanaskomitin, Meduh, Thank you for your interest in participating in our July Crawford Lake trip, we are so excited for you to join us!

This month we will be celebrating Miskomin Giizis!

As most of the day will be spent outdoors, please come prepared with sunscreen, plenty of water, weather-appropriate clothing, and a pair of shoes you don’t mind getting a bit muddy. Weather may change unexpectedly, so please be aware that we will be there rain or shine.

This event is open to Indigenous Families and Caregivers with children 0-6, and their families only. Registration is limited first come first serve. Please sign up using the link in our bio - https://linktr.ee/ojib

A heartfelt thank you to Sarahbeth Holden for joining us at last month's Strawberry Moon gathering at Crawford Lake! 🍓🌕❤️

It was such a joy to share an afternoon of stories, community, and laughter as Sarahbeth read her beautiful new children's book, Strawberry Sundaes. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special.

We're already looking forward to gathering again at Crawford Lake later this month for our Raspberry Moon celebration. We can't wait to see familiar faces and create more memories together on the land 🫐

🍓 You brought the strawberries, we brought the Three Sisters. 🌽🫘🎃

Join us on June 25th for a special Strawberry Moon gathering featuring a live reading with award-winning Indigenous children's author Sarahbeth Holden as she shares her new book, Strawberry Sundaes.

We'll also be sharing strawberry teachings and giving away copies of the book throughout the event.

This special collaboration brings together the Strawberry Sundaes characters illustrated by Emma Pedersen and our Three Sisters characters illustrated by Cheyenne Mitchell.

We can't wait to celebrate the Strawberry Moon with stories, teachings, and community. 🍓✨
