Join us on June 25th for a special Strawberry Moon gathering featuring a live reading with award-winning Indigenous children's author Sarahbeth Holden as she shares her new book, Strawberry Sundaes.

We'll also be sharing strawberry teachings and giving away copies of the book throughout the event.

This special collaboration brings together the Strawberry Sundaes characters illustrated by Emma Pedersen and our Three Sisters characters illustrated by Cheyenne Mitchell.

We can't wait to celebrate the Strawberry Moon with stories, teachings, and community. 🍓✨

Today marks the 30th anniversary of Indigenous Peoples Day on Turtle Island. We honour our Peoples, Elders, and Ancestors as we celebrate our cultures, languages, lands, and ways of being.

This day is a powerful reminder to recognize and uplift the diverse cultures and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples across Canada. It’s about holding space for Indigenous voices, stories, and sovereignty.

This year, 2026, has been a time of continued healing, reconnection, and community-building. We invite you to take a moment to be on the land, breathe deeply, and honour yourself and your journey.

🌈✨ June is a time to celebrate both National Indigenous History Month and Pride Month a reminder that our identities, stories, and communities are rooted in resilience, strength, and love.

At Ojibiikaan, we honour Indigenous peoples and 2SLGBTQ+ relatives not only throughout June, but every day of the year. We recognize the generations of knowledge, leadership, and teachings carried by Indigenous communities, and we celebrate the diverse identities that make our communities vibrant and whole.

Everyone deserves to feel safe, seen, valued, and loved for exactly who they are. Taking up space, sharing our stories, and living authentically are powerful acts that strengthen our communities and create pathways for future generations.

This month, and every month, we stand alongside Indigenous and 2SLGBTQ+ community members in creating spaces where everyone can belong, thrive, and be celebrated.
